Description

City Security Services is seeking Transit Security Officers to provide professional security services throughout METRO facilities. Officers will serve as a visible security presence while responding to incidents and assisting patrons, employees, and visitors.

Pay: $22/hr
Location:
Houston, TX 77030
Schedule: Full-Time, Morning, 32 hours/week

  • Sunday: 6:00AM - 2:00PM
  • Monday: 6:00AM - 2:00PM
  • Tuesday: 6:00AM - 2:00PM
  • Wednesday: 6:00AM - 2:00PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide security coverage at assigned transit facilities.
  • Conduct foot and mobile patrols.
  • Monitor facility activity and report suspicious or unauthorized behavior.
  • Enforce applicable facility rules and procedures.
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, criminal activity, and security incidents.
  • Assist individuals experiencing illness or injury.
  • Provide basic first aid when appropriate.
  • Request police, fire, EMS, or other emergency assistance when necessary.
  • Identify safety hazards, spills, damaged equipment, and maintenance concerns.
  • Process visitors and control authorized access.
  • Maintain accurate incident documentation.
  • Follow established General Orders, Post Orders, facility plans, and supervisor direction.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Active Level 3 security certification and guard license in hand.
  • Current baton and OC certifications.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Clean driving record for the past three years.
  • Ability to pass the required physical readiness assessment.
  • Ability to complete 24 hours of required training.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and technical applications.

Applicants must also meet one of the following:

  1. Bachelor's degree and demonstrated qualifications for the position.
  2. Associate degree in criminal justice/security and two years of security experience.
  3. Three years of combined military, law enforcement, or corrections experience.
  4. Five years of verifiable commercial security experience.
