Job Description:

The primary purpose of this role is for the individual to be the first point of contact for our guests, employees, and vendors. This will also include a first line of defense to the facility ensuring unauthorized individuals do not enter the facility, monitoring any unusual activity from the front desk vantage point, reporting any concerns to the security manager. This role will also provide the site with any additional administrative needs that come up during the business day. This position will be the central hub for communication as well as operational flow of the business. This role will create a positive first impression for our visitors, ensuring visitor management flows seamlessly. This role will also support the Security Manager with other taskings to support program needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Welcoming visitors, notifying on-site hosts of their visitor's arrival and issuing the security relevant badge
  • Maintain visitor logs
  • Ensure all visitors have been vetted as required by company policy, which includes vetting unexpected visitors when they arrive on site
  • Report suspicious activity to the security manager
  • Monitor reception and entry areas to help ensure a safe and secure environment
  • Inventory and manage all faceless badges such as temporary employee and visitor badges
  • Respond to and / or alert the security manager of any active alarms during the business day
  • Answer and screen incoming calls to the main switchboard
  • Receive, sort, and deliver letter mail
  • Manage office supplies
  • Escort Vendors, caterers, and other miscellaneous visitors
  • Serve as a primary site liaison for questions, concerns, and general inquiries from visitors, employes, and vendors

Qualifications:

  • This is an entry level security position; this individual will need to be teachable and take exact instructions
  • Follow-through on taskings is a must
  • Organized and the ability to meet deadlines
