Job Description Summary
The Information Security Student Assistant supports the Information Security team in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the university's data and systems. This role involves assisting with conducting security assessments and providing support for security-related incidents.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the department (InfoSec team) in routine operational responsibilities, such as incident response and analysis, policy violations and others.
  • Quickly assessing and filtering incident information from a variety of sources.
  • Writing accurate and concise communications.
  • Work in conjunction with the InfoSec team to provide support regarding IT security questions, concerns, and issues, professionally responding to customer feedback and inquiries.
  • Opportunity to develop, improve, and maintain existing tools, processes and procedures.
Required Qualifications
[Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. ]
Desired Qualifications
College student currently pursuing a career in information technology or business desired but not required. Training will be provided.
