BBSI has partnered with a well-established commercial security systems provider serving businesses throughout Southern California. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Security Systems Install Technician to join the team.


If you have hands-on experience with commercial burglar alarms, fire alarms, access control, CCTV, or low-voltage systems and want to join a stable company where you can continue developing your technical skills and advance your career, we want to hear from you.


What You'll Do

  • Install, wire, terminate, test, and troubleshoot commercial burglar alarm, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and voice/data systems.
  • Install cabling, conduit, back-boxes, control panels, devices, and related system components.
  • Perform field programming and system changes using laptops, keypads, and local programmers.
  • Read project plans and work closely with Project Managers, technicians, contractors, and customers to ensure successful installations.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues and provide practical solutions in the field.
  • Train customers on newly installed systems and ensure a professional customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, service records, company tools, equipment, and assigned vehicle.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency and after-hours service as needed.


What We're Looking For

  • 1+ year of hands-on security alarm installation or service experience required.
  • Working knowledge of commercial burglar alarm, fire alarm, access control, and/or CCTV systems.
  • Experience pulling and terminating wire, installing devices and control panels, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems.
  • Ability to read plans, understand system layouts, and identify installation issues.
  • Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as alongside technicians, Project Managers, contractors, and customers.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a California BSIS Alarm Company Employee (ACE) registration card.
  • California Fire Alarm Journeyman License or currently working toward completion is highly preferred.
