POSITION SUMMARY:

The Security Field Supervisor is responsible for supporting and overseeing the daily operations of assigned security accounts and field personnel. This position focuses on ensuring operational consistency, customer satisfaction, officer accountability, and compliance with company policies and post orders. The Security Field Supervisor serves as a direct point of contact for field staff, conducts site visits and inspections, assists with staffing coverage, supports training initiatives, and helps maintain a professional and responsive security operation.

Responsibilities

You will conduct the following responsibilities, upholding Tarian's commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community:

  • Conduct routine site visits, inspections, and field audits to ensure compliance with post orders, company policies, and customer expectations.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and operational support to Security Officers and Lead Officers within assigned accounts.
  • Assist with scheduling support, staffing coverage, call-offs, and emergency shift coverage as needed.
  • Monitor officer appearance, professionalism, report writing, and overall job performance.
  • Assist with onboarding, field training, coaching, and mentoring of new and existing security personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, customer concerns, and operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Document incidents, corrective actions, inspections, and operational findings accurately and completely.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, site leadership, and internal management regarding operational concerns and service delivery.
  • Support investigations related to policy violations, incidents, accidents, or customer complaints.
  • Ensure all assigned personnel maintain required certifications, licenses, uniforms, and equipment standards.
  • Assist management with employee accountability, disciplinary documentation, and performance improvement efforts.
  • Verify completion of assigned tasks and critical operational responsibilities.
  • Promote a professional, customer service-oriented culture throughout assigned locations.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding employee matters, customer information, and security operations.
  • Support company initiatives, safety programs, and operational goals.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Remain knowledgeable of changes in security procedures, technology, and industry best practices.
  • Support operational reporting and field documentation requirements.
  • Assist with inventory accountability for uniforms, keys, radios, and operational equipment.
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and operational briefings as required.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and internal leadership.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or related military/law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of security, military, law enforcement, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience managing or supervising personnel in a fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email systems, and reporting software.
  • Ability to prepare accurate reports and documentation.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and during emergencies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work hours will vary depending on assignments, client schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company. Workweeks may exceed 40 hours and may involve any of the 7 days of the week, depending on the needs of the business. The work environment may be fast-paced and stressful or may also be quiet and slow-paced.  All environments and pace of work will require alertness and ability to perform under pressure.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time throughout an assigned shift; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects 25 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently engages in mental concentration, analysis, and formulation.
