Rivkin Radler LLP is seeking an attorney with a minimum of 1 year of litigation experience to join our Hackensack, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial litigation and/or trusts and estates litigation, with strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inโ€‘depth legal research and analysis to support litigation matters, including commercial disputes and trusts & estates litigation (e.g., will contests, fiduciary disputes, accounting proceedings, and probate litigation).
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery demands, and settlement agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to develop and execute case strategies.
  • Participate in court appearances, hearings, depositions, conferences, and negotiations.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and advocacy, including with fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and business clients.
Required Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience, preferably including exposure to:
  • Commercial litigation (contract disputes, partnership disputes, bankruptcy litigation, class actions, securities litigation, consumer protection), and/or
  • Trusts & estates litigation (contested probate matters, discovery under SCPA 2103 proceedings, objections to fiduciary conduct, accounting disputes, or related Surrogateโ€™s Court matters).
Preferred
  • Prior employment at a premier law firm.
  • Completion of a federal clerkship.
  • Law review or journal experience.
  • Exceptional academic credentials.
  • Demonstrated excellent writing skills (writing sample required).
  • Proficiency in endโ€‘toโ€‘end case management and a strong understanding of litigation workflow.
Compensation

Annualized salary range: $120,000 โ€“ $175,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other jobโ€‘related factors permitted by law.

Congenial, fastโ€‘paced environment with competitive salary and benefits.

Hybrid schedule: Minimum 3 days per week in the office and 2 days remote.
