Job description

Job Summary

As an Associate on the Hedge Fund Distribution team, you will provide equity financing and securities lending coverage to hedge fund clients across cash and swap. The role is primarily focused on International markets and requires coordination with regional desks in Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Paris, Sao Paulo to ensure an integrated global client experience.  You should possess a strong work ethic, market knowledge and the ability to initiate and cultivate internal and external relationships across key stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and deepen strategic relationships with hedge fund clients from onboarding to product/market expansion
  • Identify and implement cash prime brokerage and swap financing solutions across NA, EMEA, and APAC regions
  • Provide securities lending expertise, including locate approvals, short interest estimates, and rate management
  • Monitor short interest and borrow trends at the security, sector, and market levels
  • Promote cash prime brokerage and swap capabilities across regions, leveraging product knowledge in over 50 markets
  • Advise on market access, documentation, financing efficiencies, and trading across cash and swap
  • Collaborate with Sales teams and other functional partners to deliver full-service coverage and identify new business opportunities

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a client-facing role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Proficient in extracting data from MIS reporting and using AI tools to produce insightful commentary
  • Capable of processing large volumes of information and managing flows in a fast-paced environment
  • FINRA Series 7 & 63 certifications required
