Active DoD Security Clearance required Salary: $105,000 - $150,000 Role Summary ODME Solutions is seeking a mid-senior Software Developer to support development and sustainment of Common Track Manager (CTM) capabilities under the CB-ISEA contract with NIWC PAC. This role focuses on hands-on Java development supporting track processing, system integration, and performance-sensitive application components within a secure DoD environment. The selected engineer will work within an Agile delivery framework and collaborate closely with DevSecOps and integration teams to ensure reliable, secure, and repeatable software releases. Prior CTM experience is not required. Strong Java fundamentals and the ability to develop secure, maintainable software in structured delivery environments are essential. Primary Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based CTM components Support track data processing, system integration, and interface logic Contribute to multi-threaded and performance-sensitive application components Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following secure coding practices Develop and maintain unit and integration tests Participate in code reviews and enforce coding and security standards Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to support build, test, and release processes Identify and remediate software defects and security findings Participate in Agile sprint planning, backlog refinement, and review cycles Support integration testing and deployment validation in lab and fleet environments Required Qualifications 5+ years of Java development experience Experience working with object-oriented design principles Active DoD security clearance (Secret minimum) Active CompTIA Security+ certification Operating system certification (Windows or Linux) or ability to obtain one quickly Ability to work within structured, compliance-driven environments Strongly Preferred Experience developing multi-threaded or performance-sensitive systems Familiarity with DevSecOps principles (automated testing, code quality gates, secure development practices) Experience working in Linux development environments Familiarity with distributed systems or messaging architectures Experience with Git-based version control Experience supporting secure or classified systems Familiarity with Navy or NIWC programs Experience working with tactical or track-based systems What Success Looks Like Secure, maintainable Java code committed through structured development workflows Reduced defect backlog and improved application stability Successful integration into secure lab and operational environments Strong collaboration across development, DevSecOps, and systems engineering teams * Predictable, sprint-based delivery aligned to government milestones
