Position Overview

SeeWriteHear is actively seeking tier 2 software developers to help design, build, improve and support internal applications, services, and automations. This role involves improving legacy software and designing new modern solutions to replace legacy software as well as maintaining and improving our automation pipeline that supports high volume file conversions from clients to accessible formats with a quick turnaround time.

Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving problems, is proactive about improving programs, and is knowledgeable of different types of programming methods. This is an opportunity to build automation that is highly reliable, scalable, and runs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications and backend services using .NET/C#
  • Analyze and determine bottlenecks in existing processes and implement optimizations to remove said bottlenecks
  • Design and implement new modernized applications to replace existing legacy applications
  • Participate in both new feature development and improvements to ongoing developments
  • Develop and optimize database-driven applications and workflows
  • Debugging issues with new features and existing services

Cloud and Infrastructure Integration

  • Work inside Azure cloud environments and potentially other cloud-based services/areas
  • Develop on-prem hosted applications that establish connections to cloud-hosted resources such as databases, message queues, or secure FTP servers
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, automated application deployments, and other CI/CD activities
  • Assist with building Docker-based application deployments or other containerized workloads
  • Support programs that establish connections to and interact with physical on-network devices such as printers and bar code scanners

Performance and Reliability

  • Improve processing speed of automated workflows and services
  • Troubleshoot/debugging issues with critical services and programs
  • Help identify technical debt and contribute to developments to prevent technical debt
  • Participate in testing of application changes and code reviews

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand business and user requirements
  • Translate business needs into practical technical solutions
  • Communicate project statuses, risks, issues, and concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Contribute to documentation and SeeWriteHear knowledge base

Required Technical Experience

Experience in several of the following areas is required:

  • .NET/C#
  • Full stack or web backend development
  • REST APIs and system integrations
  • MySQL relational database systems
  • Azure cloud services
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Message queues and asynchronous processing
  • Git-based version control development
  • Application refactoring and performance optimization

Preferred Experience

Experience in several of the following areas is nice to have:

  • Python development
  • Fundamentals in programmatic methods to read, write, modify files specifically .pdf, .ps, .html, .xml, .docx, etc.
  • Familiarity with service-oriented and event-driven systems and architectures
  • Ability to rapidly onboard to complex environments and tightly coupled systems
  • Familiarity with more complicated database operations such as Joins, Indexes, Foreign Keys, Stored Procedures, etc.
