Job description

Analyst, Underwriter - Asset Based Finance
Job Responsibilities:
  • This role offers hands-on ownership of underwriting, diligence, and financial analysis across a variety of asset-oriented and corporate transactions
  • Work directly with PM to underwrite, risk asses and analyze asset-based finance, asset based lending and corporate lending transactions
  • Participate in setting up covenant packages, risk ratings, monitoring KPIs and participate in ongoing portfolio management
  • Analyze new prospects for credit quality including financials and projections.
  • Evaluate collateral from a broad spectrum of industries for suitability for asset-oriented facilities.
  • Prepare internal documentation to evaluate new opportunities, including pre-screens and final approval documentation.
  • Work closely with risk management on approvals; present borrower and structure to risk committee to secure deal approval.
  • Work with outside third parties, including appraisers and field examiners, to diligence, document and close transactions.
  • The position is well-suited for candidates who excel in fast-paced, entrepreneurial credit environments and enjoy managing multiple workflows with high accountability
  • Hands-on involvement in underwriting, diligence, financial statement analysis is a must

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years direct experience in credit, underwriting, and structuring of asset based and corporate lending transactions
  • Familiarity with asset-based finance, asset based lending across broad industries, including specific sector risks and nuances.
  • Significant market knowledge of balance sheet and off-balance sheet structures
  • Knowledge of Legal Documentation (commitment papers, term sheets, credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, etc.)
  • Able to produce excellent underwriting work product with detailed up/down analysis
