Description: 2023-2024 School Secretary
Job Summary: The school secretary position is one that is associated with the day to day operations of the school. This person, under limited direction, performs a variety of clerical, secretarial, and other administrative functions required for the operation of the school site. This person is the keeper of confidential information, responsible for record keeping/data management, document preparation, and support of the principal. This person is the "face" of the school and is usually the first contact with visitors for registerting students. Must be able to direct phone calls and visitors to the correct person(s).
Qualifications: The candidate should have at least an Associate Degree. Additional degrees and/or training associated with office management and PowerSchool are preferred but not necessary.
Working Conditions: The candidate may work in the front office and must be willing and able to communicate with visitors, students, faculty and staff. Should be able to manage a school office and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The secretary position could include, but is not limited to departments of attendance, guidance, etc.
