Executive Assistant - EveryStep

EveryStep is seeking an experienced, highly organized Executive Assistant to provide high-level executive and administrative support to the President & CEO and Senior Leadership Team. This position plays a key role in supporting EveryStep's board governance and relationships with its various boards and committees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key liaison between the President & CEO, EveryStep's Board of Directors, Board of Trustees, and board committees, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as recording secretary and provide administrative support for board and committee meetings, including agendas, meeting materials, minutes, communications, and follow-up.
  • Ensure board-related activities and records are maintained in accordance with organizational bylaws, policies, and governance requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with board members, donors, senior leaders, staff, and external partners.
  • Provide confidential executive support to the President & CEO and Senior Leadership Team, including calendar management, correspondence, travel coordination, meeting preparation, and special projects.
  • Anticipate organizational needs, prioritize competing demands, and ensure important commitments and deadlines are met.
  • Support communication and coordination between the President & CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and organizational leadership.
  • Maintain corporate records and promote a culture of compliance, professionalism, and ethical business conduct.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have experience working with boards, executive leadership, and organizational governance, along with exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication skills. The ability to build trusted relationships with board members and organizational leaders, manage confidential information, and navigate competing priorities is essential.

Qualifications include:

  • 5 years of related experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting boards, committees, or executive-level governance functions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Exceptional integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with board members, staff, donors, and external partners.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience managing board management software
  • Proven ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and work independently.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
