Addison Group is partnering with our client to hire an experienced Legal Secretary to support a busy litigation practice. This opportunity is ideal for a legal professional who has prior litigation experience and is comfortable managing court deadlines, legal filings, and case documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

The Legal Secretary will provide comprehensive support to attorneys handling litigation matters. This role requires strong knowledge of court procedures, legal document preparation, calendaring, and case management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support attorneys with day-to-day litigation and administrative activities.

• Draft, edit, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.

• Prepare and submit electronic filings in state and federal courts.

• Manage attorney calendars, court appearances, filing deadlines, and case schedules.

• Maintain and organize case files, exhibits, and litigation-related records.

• Assist with document production, e-discovery, and records review processes.

• Coordinate communication with courts, clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.

• Monitor case progress and ensure deadlines and filing requirements are met.

Qualifications:

• Required: Prior litigation experience in a law firm or legal department.

• Strong understanding of Oklahoma state and federal civil litigation procedures.

• Experience with state and federal court e-filing systems.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

• Excellent written communication, proofreading, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Experience with legal calendaring software is preferred; Compulaw experience is a plus.
