Freeport High School
Freeport High School is looking for a highly organized Administrative Secretary to join our school community. The daily responsibilities include supporting the management of the building and classroom needs, arrangements for substitute teachers, managing the school budget including the ordering of all school and classroom supplies, organizing staff timesheets and providing direct support to the Principal. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills as well as strong abilities to develop and foster relationships with students, staff, and families. Other expected traits include the ability to be flexible, maintain confidentiality, use technology, and multitask and prioritize even in high pressure situations.
This position is year-round for 40 hours per week.
Pay Range is $25.79 - $29.43 as outlined in the Coastal Education Association Educational Support Professionals Collective Bargaining Agreement. Placement on scale will be determined based on years of similar experience.
Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma.
  2. Completed fingerprinting in accordance with school requirements.
  3. Previous experience in High School setting preferred.
Essential Functions:
  1. Ability to create and maintain positive relations with students, school personnel, and parents.
  2. Ability to collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders in order to support high quality student and staff support.
  3. Demonstrates sound judgment and effective communication skills.
  4. Fulfill all performance responsibilities of an administrative secretary in a high school setting.
    Requirements:
    CHRC Certification from Maine Dept. of Education.
    Position remains open until suitable candidate is found.
