Position Overview
We are currently seeking a highly reliable and physically active Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in Boca Raton/Pompano Beach FL. This position is ideal for a former military service member/law enforcement looking to contribute to church safety and community food pantry program in a visible, disciplined, and impactful role.
This is a permanent assignment,  Monday-Friday: 0845 AM-1245 PM/ Sundays 9:30 AM-3:30 PM with opportunities for additional hours. Officers will be stationed at a church campus where professionalism, presence, and proactive deterrence are essential. 
Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure campus environment for clergy and guests
  • Conduct active patrols of church grounds and access points
  • Monitor entry/exit areas and enforce visitor access control procedures
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies swiftly and effectively
  • Must be capable of patrolling actively outside on foot
  • Deter and detect potential threats through active presence and situational awareness

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Military service preferred
  • Valid Florida Class D Security License
  • Experience in church, school or institution security preferred
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Must be physically capable of standing, patrolling
  • Excellent verbal communication and de-escalation skills
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
  • Neatly groomed appearance
  • Must be able to successfully pass a firearms proficiency test

Schedule

  •  Monday-Friday: 0845am -1245pm
  • Sunday 9:30am - 3:30pm 
  • Opportunity to expand hours based on performance and client needs

Compensation & Benefits

  • $20.00 per hour
