Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Systems Business Analyst for a hybrid position with a Large Energy Company located in Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
Compensation: $76.46 - $86.46 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
This role will act as the conduit between business needs and technology solutions within the Service Management organization. The ideal candidate will focus on work within the ServiceNow platform and ITIL aligned service management processes, partnering closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, and ensure successful solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with business areas and stakeholders to understand needs and represent them during planning
  • Perform requirements gathering with business users and translate business needs into actionable requirements for ServiceNow or process teams
  • Analyze business processes, challenges, gaps, and desired outcomes
  • Support the intake process for new requests and develop user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate sessions, document requirements, and provide demos or supporting materials
  • Ensure solutions meet user experience and operational performance expectations
  • Monitor solution performance and assess process/system health
  • Engage across the full lifecycle: requirements, design, testing, implementation, and post-go-live support

Primary Requirements:

  • Experience in business analysis including requirements elicitation, business process analysis, and value stream analysis
  • Proven stakeholder management skills including executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, and relationship management
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, backlog management, and the product delivery lifecycle
  • Broad understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities and architecture
  • Ability to align business needs with ServiceNow platform functionality
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow capabilities such as Service Catalog, BCM, SecOps, HRSD, ITSM, and Automation
  • Understanding of platform governance and best practices

Desired Skills:

  • Direct experience with ServiceNow
  • ITIL Foundation Certification or strong ITIL knowledge
  • Experience in a Service Management / ITSM environment
  • Project coordination or project management exposure
  • Business Analyst, Agile, or Scrum Certification
  • ServiceNow Business Analyst Certification
