Job description

This is an entry level position with the Lock Desk Division. Lock Desk Analysts provide specialized analytical support to Loan Officers in the management of their rate lock process for residential mortgages on the secondary mortgage market. Analysts are responsible for reviewing and verifying lock requests, committing loans to investors, distributing confirmations, entering data accurately and efficiently in multiple loan origination systems, pricing loan scenarios in multiple products and pricing engines, and for routinely identifying issues, compiling and analyzing data and creating reports.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Validate and confirm lock requests from Loan Originators.
  • Respond to customer queries regarding pricing, lock rates, and programs.
  • Assure the validity/integrity of the rate lock request.
  • Commit loans to aggregators and agencies.
  • Take out commitments for delivery of loans to an end investor.
  • Assist with the funding and delivery of committed loans to end investor.
  • Take directions from Lock Desk Manager for current MBS market conditions and to issue re-priced rate sheets and lock/unlock loans accordingly.
  • Manage database to ensure accurate information is being reported.
  • Validate and reconcile loans purchased from investors.
  • Able to comply with the policies and procedures outlined in the Company Handbook
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • 0-2 years of related experience
  • Encompass experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Proficient in data entry and management
  • Mortgage lending experience required; preferred in insuring government FHA, VA loans
  • Understanding of mortgage loan documents (i.e. HUD-1, Form 1009, 92900A, Appraisals, Compliance Inspection Reports, HECM Counseling Certificate, GFE, Title Policies, Homeowner Insurance Policies, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook (required)
