**THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT POSTIOIN**LOCATED ONSITE IN LAKELAND, FL**



JOB SUMMARY:

This position operates and maintains welding and fabricating equipment.

PRIMARY REPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operation of various types of welding and fabricating equipment.
  • Gage and inspect parts as required.
  • Palletize finished parts and perform quality documentation sign-offs as required.
  • Support production operations by ensuring the smooth flow of material from operation to operation.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education level: High School Diploma/GED with some college or technical trade school to support qualifications including welding certifications.
  • Experience: Must have mig welding experience with materials including carbon, stainless steel and aluminum.
  • IMP is a drug-free workplace. Employees must be able to pass a pre-employment, fit-for-duty physical including a drug screen.
  • Mechanical skills/aptitude.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Read tape measure to the 1/16th of 1 inch.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw/interpret bar graphs.
  • Must be able to follow company safety and quality control policies and procedures.
  • Must be a team player receptive to change and cross functional training.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including overtime.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • At risk of electrical shock and vibration.
  • Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and/or extreme cold and extreme heat.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
