Job description

Winpak is looking for a National Account Manager to join the Food and Beverage team.
Reporting directly to the Market Director of the respective market, the National Account Manager, is responsible for managing strategic client accounts at a National level, maximizing all profitable opportunities for sales within the accounts while demonstrating value of the Winpak Brand.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing large accounts for the company and building relationships with key personnel.
  • Networking within National Accounts in order to secure all business opportunities.
  • Ensuring (and communicating with) internal company functions resulting in the highest level of customer service to National Accounts.
  • Monitoring incoming orders and ensuring these are fulfilled on time, effectively.
  • Accurately managing all commercial information including customer forecasts, subsequent annual Sales Target/Plans and new business potential
  • Planning and executing strategic growth strategies at National Accounts
  • Maintaining and growing relationships with all influential levels of the strategic customer organizations and the appropriate contacts at Winpak to ensure we are aligned to customer success.
  • Hold regular meetings with internal stakeholders about National accounts.
  • Investigating and resolving queries and issues raised by National accounts.
  • Taking a proactive approach to Account Management.
  • Arrange meetings with all relevant decision makers within the customer's business not limited to holding business reviews to assess opportunities for revenue
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner compliant with ISO 9001 and SQF standards.

Required Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education related to Business, Science, Marketing, Packaging Engineering, or equivalent .
  • 5+ years of experience managing national accounts
  • 5+ years of experience building long-term client relationships in a business-to-business (B2B) environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in a role that required cultivating and nurturing client relationships, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to track sales activity, customer interactions, and sales pipeline.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical requirements for flexible and rigid packaging primarily in the Food Processing industry.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in the packaging industry, with a preference for supporting perishable food products.
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with internal teams (e.g., production, logistics, sales support) to deliver the best outcomes for clients.
  • Developed graphics experience and technical service and support would be an asset

Additional Details:
    • Must be able to travel as required to meet with clients as required
    • A valid driver's license is required for travel purposes

Compensation range:
The compensation range provided is a general guideline only. Compensation range $165k-$175k .Pay will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise and is subject to vary.
