High School Degree and working toward a bachelor's degree.
Required Related Experience
Interest in learning the field of sports broadcast production.
Required License/Registration/Certification

Physical Requirements
To be able to lift, push, pull objects of 50 lbs or more.
Shift
Some days but primarily evenings and weekends.
Job Summary
The Production student crew member will assist the University of Kentucky Sports Video Department & other student staff members with the production of the live broadcasts of sporting events. The two tracks offered include Video Board productions and productions for the
SEC Network and its affiliated ESPN family of networks. You may be assigned to one or both tracks depending on your interests and the needs of the department.
As a crew member, the student will play a vital role in these broadcasts. Crew members will receive training on a number of different roles (including Camera, Audio, Tape, Graphics, Engineering, Assistants, and possibly front-line roles with Directing and Producing).
The crew member will be expected to be available for at least 50% of the Event schedule (on a monthly basis), which can be found on each sports schedule (website), but also is made available to students at least six weeks in advance. Better availability results in more opportunities to
increase your skill level and learn additional roles within the SEC Network team.
Crew members may also be assigned to work with the Video Board shows from time to time; any work on those shows will count towards their monthly percentage requirements for the SEC Network Production role.

Artistic, hard working, great availability, ability to learn new skills, ability to
follow directions, work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure;
adaptability, and flexible work schedule. Knowledge of sports being
covered and/or willingness to learn about these sports required.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience
Preferred hands-on experience with professional video cameras, electronic graphics, video shading, audio boards, instant replay systems or other broadcast grade equipment.
