OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.JOB DESCRIPTION

KCPQ FOX 13 Seattle is seeking a high-impact Sports Anchor/Reporter to lead sports coverage across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms. This role anchors and/or contributes to signature programs including Seattle Sports Live and Washington Sports Wrap, while helping define the station's voice in a rapidly evolving, multi-platform landscape. The ideal candidate connects with audiences across linear, streaming, and social platforms.

The ideal candidate is a credible and compelling storyteller with a strong on-air presence, deep knowledge of marquee Seattle franchises like the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Mariners and Seattle Kraken. This position also supports FOX 13's broadcast partnerships with professional teams including the Seattle Sounders, Seattle Reign, and Seattle Torrent, while delivering meaningful coverage of collegiate and amateur athletics across the region.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Anchor and deliver credible and compelling sports coverage across FOX 13 newscasts and flagship programs.

  • Report live and produce high-quality, enterprise-driven stories from the field and studio.

  • Write and edit content for broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms with speed and accuracy.

  • Develop engaging, platform-specific content for social media and OTT channels.

  • Maintain expert-level awareness of local, national, and international sports news.

  • Cultivate relationships with professional, collegiate, and amateur sports communities.

  • Represent FOX 13 at high-profile events, interviews, and partnership initiatives.

  • Collaborate across newsroom teams to deliver timely, impactful coverage on streaming, linear, social or digital platforms.

  • Generate original story ideas, including features and long-form content.

  • Work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and major sports events.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum three (3) years of sports anchoring/reporting experience in a competitive market.

  • Demonstrated success producing and presenting content across multiple platforms.

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred.

  • Strong familiarity with the Seattle/Pacific Northwest sports landscape preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Polished, credible and compelling on-air presence with the ability to engage broad audiences.

  • Strong editorial judgment and advanced storytelling skills across broadcast and digital.

  • Proficiency in digital content creation and audience engagement strategies.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $110,000.00-135,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
