Job description

We are seeking a safety-focused, customer-oriented Class A Driver to support our operations across the Billings, MT area. In this role, your primary focus is driving, transporting medical waste and sharps containers to and from healthcare facilities. As part of the role, you'll also spend approximately 12 hours per week inside hospital environments, physically exchanging containers and supporting clinical teams.
This position offers steady hours, independence on your route, access to overtime, and strong benefits, all within an essential, purpose-driven industry.

What will your job involve?
Driving
  • Operate straight trucks and tractor trailers ranging from 26' to 53'
  • Safely collect, transport, and store medical waste and sharps containers
  • Manage assigned routes as directed by leadership, ensuring on-time, efficient service
  • Complete deliveries according to schedule and proactively communicate challenges or changes
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Comply with all DOT regulations, including hours logging and roadside inspections
  • Overnight travel once per week to Denver for trailer exchange
Hospital Servicing
  • Work inside hospital facilities exchanging full and empty medical waste and sharps containers
  • Push/pull loaded carts and handle containers through clinical and non-clinical areas
  • Follow strict infection control, safety, and compliance protocols
  • Interact professionally with hospital staff in fast-paced healthcare environments
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and correct container placement
Physical Activity
  • Loading and unloading containers
  • Prioritizing and organizing your truck based on route and schedule
  • Heavy lifting required as part of daily duties

What are we looking for?
  • Valid Class A license WITH hazmat endorsement with a clean driving record and current DOT medical card
  • Minimum 6 months experience driving tractor trailers and/or straight trucks
  • Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections
  • Confidence completing Level 1-3 DOT road checks
  • Proven reliability and longevity in past employment
  • Willingness to work full-time hours (approximately 45-50 hours per week)
  • Comfortable working inside hospitals and clinical environments
  • Flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer service mindset
  • Commitment to safe, on-time delivery practices
