Missions :
The steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen, dishwashing areas, and related facilities. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas, as well as assisting with inventory and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards. The steward supports the culinary and service teams to uphold the luxury hotel's high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Profile :
  • Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen equipment according to luxury hotel standards.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen areas, including countertops, floors, walls, and storage spaces.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste and recyclables in compliance with health regulations.
  • Clean and polish silverware, chinaware, and other dining utensils to maintain a pristine appearance.
  • Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
  • Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Work closely with chefs, servers, and other staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with special requests or urgent tasks during peak service times.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen team.
  • Support the broader culinary team during high-volume periods or special events.
  • Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation regulations, including HACCP and local codes.
