Job description

Title: Mascot Performer
Department: Gameday Operations
FLSA Status: Non-exempt/Part time
Reports To: Mascot Coordinator
Summary:Mascots are responsible for performing as one of the six Omaha Storm Chasers mascots during Storm Chasers home games, special events, and/or community appearances.
Responsibilities:
  • Interact with fans and welcome them as they enter the ballpark gates
  • Participate in various promotions throughout the game and on the field.
  • Distribute Omaha Storm Chasers promotional items (mascot cards, pocket schedules, etc.) to help increase team and brand awareness
  • Interact with all fans at games, events, and appearances

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Must be willing to submit to a background screen; any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background screen
  • Auditions for this position will be required
  • Ability to improvise and interact with fans (adults and children) as well as other staff members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; work with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions including; cold, wind, rain and heat
  • Must be comfortable working in a costume in front of large crowds
