Silk Screen Print Technician

We are Faber-Castell Cosmetics, a division of Faber-Castell (you know us for our pencils and pens). We have taken our expertise to the cosmetic industry. We are one of the leading providers of private label cosmetic pencils (face, eye, lip, and nail). We are almost 800 employees worldwide with production facilities in Germany and Brazil. Our clients are well-known brands in cosmetics and we are bringing our state-of-the-art facilities, process, and knowledge to Elgin, IL. Help us color the world!

As a Silk Screen Print Technician, you will set up, operate, and maintain screen printing equipment to transfer ink onto materials.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coating mesh screens with UV sensitive emulsion, exposing designs and washing out stencils during screen preparation
  • Setting up automatic equipment, adjusting color registration and running test prints while operating the equipment
  • Inspecting printed items for alignment errors, ink thickness and consistency
  • Cleaning screens and maintaining press mechanics
  • Troubleshooting equipment issues

Requirements:

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Prior experience in screen printing, industrial printing, or a related production environment preferred
  • Willingness to learn new processes and equipment
