The Supervisor works closely with the Packing Team Leader and team to ensure smooth operation of the dept. The Packing Supervisor will assist the packing Team Leader in personnel issues and supervision of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in hiring, training, development, leading, and counseling of Team Members.
  • Assist with and drive team productivity.
  • Implement and ensure Team Members are adhering to “Clean as you go” philosophy.
  • Prepare Team Members work schedules.
  • Stand in for ATL/Team Leader in their absence.
  • Participate in monthly physical inventory or as needed.
  • Maintain clean and sanitary operating environment.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure compliance with relevant regularity rules and standards, including: OSHA, FMLA, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Department of Labor, Health and Sanitation, FDA, Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measures

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Word and Excel, EXE, and PeopleSoft
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Passion for all WFM policies and procedures and thorough product knowledge                                       Complete all required daily documentation for FSMA, HACCP, Metal detection, and all other logs as required for the facility
  • Maintain accurate packaging of products, correct labeling, batch and  pack dates applied
  • Phenomenal time management skills
  • High attention to detail and thoroughness in approach with all paperwork
  • Basic knowledge of computers and systems
  • Proper use of knives, personal protective equipment, forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, six wheel carts, baler and all other equipment used during preparation and clean up within department and store.
  • Ability to work well with others, self-motivated and capable of working independently with little supervision. Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the facility, including nights, weekends and holidays as required

The wage range for this position is $21.00-$35.00 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
