Job description

The Ginner role is primarily responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing gin equipment. 

What to Expect in the Role:

  • Responsible for checking moisture content and trash levels of seed cotton prior to ginning.
  • Assists in repairing equipment such as conveyor systems, trailers, and storage bins.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, and/or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Performs same activities as supervised workers.
  • Responsible for routine maintenance and repairs to ensure that gin runs smoothly.
  • Employee must be safety oriented and always adhere to safety requirements.
