Job description

Qualifications:
  • A combination of three (3) years of education and experience is desired. This could be, as an example, an associate degree in EE, CS, IS, or related field and three years' experience in the fields of CS or IS or related field of IT or School Safety preferred.
  • Must have a valid Tennessee driver 's license
  • Must be physically able to meet the demands of the essential responsibilities of the
  • Must have a working knowledge of common operating systems, for example Windows 10
  • Basic Math skills are
  • Effective technical problem-solving techniques are Including, but not limited to, software and hardware debugging.

Job Overview:
Hybrid role that will monitor the physical safety aspects of each school campus as well as assist with overseeing scheduled safety monitoring, software and hardware installation, and monitoring
and upkeep of safety systems. Position will work daily with Supervisor of Safety and Operations Manages but will answer directly to Assistant Superintendent of Operations.
Job Functions:
  • Assist with following safety functions:

Yearly security assessments
County emergency operations
School safety drills
Data collection for school safe, school grant and or school security grant
  • Assist with the following safety technology functions:

Install and manage security systems: Raptor, Perry Weather, REI Bus surveillance, Avigilon(IP Security Camera systems/Access Control)
Troubleshoot and repair; Network components (routers, switches, servers), Intercom systems
  • Basic knowledge of PC hardware and software.
  • Low voltage cable installation and management.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of customers, supervisors, board members, and vendors regarding technology and operations.
  • Load specified software packages.
  • Train administration and other staff on safety programs.
  • Recommends or performs minor remedial actions to correct problems.
  • Other Duties as assigned by Supervisor
