Job Summary

A Maintenance Technician for paint, repair, who performs hands-on tasks to maintain, prep, and restore surfaces on buildings and structures. Responsibilities typically include scraping old paint, patching drywall, sanding, applying primer, and finishing topcoats, while assisting the Maintenance Director with general site projects, repairs, cleanup, and setup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Routine Maintenance
    Technicians are responsible for regular upkeep of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure they function properly and safely. 

    Repairs and Troubleshooting
    They perform repairs on broken equipment and troubleshoot issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and staff.

    Safety Inspections
    Conducting safety inspections and preventive maintenance tasks is crucial to maintain a safe environment for residents.

    Collaboration and Communication
    Technicians often collaborate with other staff on complex repairs and upgrades, ensuring that maintenance needs are met without interfering with patient care.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in construction, general labor, or commercial/residential painting is highly preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), and safely perform physical duties like standing, bending, and working at heights.
  • Work Environment: Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and inside construction/renovation environments.
  • Licensure: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record may be required for operating company vehicles.
  • Age: Minimum 18 years of age.

Physical & Environmental Demands

  • Lifting/Carrying: Capable of lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Mobility: Regular standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, twisting, and working on ladders.
  • Environment: Exposure to paint fumes, dust, noise, and seasonal weather conditions.
