Position Overview:

WE-cycle is seeking seasonal team members to support day-to-day system operations. Bikeshare Operators help maintain reliable bike and station availability across the WE-cycle network by completing field work such as bike redistribution, basic bike checkups, and station upkeep.


This role focuses on safe and reliable execution of assigned field work. Operators are expected to complete tasks, communicate clearly, and follow established system standards.


Core Responsibilities

  • Support daily field operations by completing assigned tasks.
  • Relocate WE-cycle fleet bikes using company vehicles or e-bikes to maintain station availability.
  • Perform basic bike checkups to keep bikes rider-ready.
  • Maintain station cleanliness and basic upkeep.
  • Provide rider assistance as needed.


Qualifications

  • Basic mechanical awareness and willingness to learn bike maintenance fundamentals.
  • Ability to learn new skills and follow established procedures.
  • Reliable and punctual with the ability to complete assigned work independently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid drivers license required.


Work Environment

  • Hands-on, field-based work requiring mobility and physical activity.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift and move bikes weighing up to 45 lbs.
  • Prepared to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Ability to ride an e-bike for extended periods (up to 15 miles per shift).
