Job description

Education & Qualifications: Must be a minimum of 16 years of age to comply with child labor laws. Must be able to work in various weather conditions. Must always maintain a well-groomed appearance. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to follow policies and procedures. Starting rate of pay is $12.50/hour. Bonus Opportunity: Ride Operators are eligible to receive a $50 Operating Day Bonus when they work five operating days in a week.
Essential Functions:
  • Safely operate assigned amusement park rides by following standard operating procedures in accordance with company policy and procedure, state, federal regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Initiate interaction and assist guests with inquiries, concerns, always maintaining guest satisfaction.
  • Provide Superior Service to all guests by answering questions and having the answers or knowing where to find them.
  • Communicate and enforce all ride requirements including proper admission, height, safety, health, and ridership criteria.
  • Maintain the safety of guests by following all training and always use vigilance awareness before, during, and after each ride cycle. This may include assisting loading and unloading of riders including small children.
  • Report any unusual situations, concerns and or emergency matter to management immediately and cooperates with management to ensure safety of all team members and park guests.
  • Maintains safety, cleanliness, and organization in immediate and surrounding work areas
  • Work in various weather and environmental conditions including but not limited to direct or indirect sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, hail, and cold temperatures.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and protect team member and guest confidentiality
  • Report to and from work at assigned time.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Available to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
  • Adhere to dress code policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
