Job description

NFL Media Technical Operations is looking for an A2 Audio Mixer. This role will provide supplemental audio production services by coordinating, mixing, and delivering support audio for live news/sports and key show programming. Production services will be located at our State-of-the-Art NFL Media Studios in Inglewood, CA. 

Responsibilities

  • Mix live and recorded show format productions with heavy emphasis on remotes and server playback.
  • Test and verify equipment: Networked audio consoles, intercoms, multiple audio and video servers, EVS Playback audio.
  • Required experience working with cart playback systems such as Ovation or 360systems. Must work with system templates and Music logging files.
  • Extensive knowledge and proper setup protocol of communication panels (i.e. Riedel) required.
  • Work with A1, show director and production teams on the proper audio requirements for each show.
  • Must display a strong sense of team with the audio group and all levels of staff.
  • Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned such as A3 functions. 

Required Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of experience mixing linear and IP content in a television studio environment, including live and non-live productions.
  • Experience mixing with SSL audio boards (specifically S500) preferred.
  • Experience in Stereo and 5.1. surround mixing formats required.
  • Understanding of IP Networked audio devices, specifically AES67 with Dante knowledge or certifications a plus.

  • Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills. 
  • Detail oriented/multi-tasker with ability to work independently or in teams. 
  • Strong technical/computer skills (Microsoft, Apple, File management, Email, Slack, MS Teams, ENPS). 

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • Availability to work flexible hours including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Seasonal employment up to 7 months
