Job description

Description . This contract position is ideal for those looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced medical environment while providing critical care to our patients. As a key member of our medical practice, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality emergency medical services. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of offering excellent patient care and ensuring the health and safety of our community. This role not only allows you to utilize your medical skills but also offers an engaging team dynamic that values collaboration and patient-centric practices.

Responsibilities

Provide emergency medical care to patients in a timely and efficient manner Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, including life-threatening emergencies Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to ensure optimal patient flow Document patient history and clinical findings accurately Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on medical practices Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members Assist with the coordination of care and referral to specialists when necessary Contribute to the development of best practices in the emergency department Requirements Valid MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Current board certification in Emergency Medicine Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency medicine setting Strong clinical skills and the ability to perform under pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to continuous learning and professional development Current medical license to practice in the state of Florida Flexible Schedule: Day or night shifts No call required

Annual Volume: 13,500 patients

Facility: Free-standing ER with separate pediatric waiting area, triage, and bay Support Staff: 24-hour MD coverage, seasonal APP coverage

EMR: Meditech pDoc

Dictation: M-Modal Must be board-certified or board-eligible DEA required Paid travel & expenses
