Job description

Job Summary:
Milestone Technologies is a global IT managed services firm that partners with organizations to drive technology and operational agility. The Onsite IT Support Technician will provide entry-level onsite IT support for end users, focusing on basic troubleshooting, customer assistance, and hands-on support with training provided.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide walk-up and desk-side support for common IT issues
โ€ข Assist users with basic questions and requests
โ€ข Support new hire and intern onboarding activities
โ€ข Deliver friendly, professional customer service
โ€ข Escalate issues when troubleshooting steps are exhausted
โ€ข Assist with setup and basic troubleshooting of: Laptops, monitors, keyboards, mice, and peripherals Mobile phones and tablets
โ€ข Perform simple break/fix actions: Device swaps Cable replacement Power and connectivity checks
โ€ข Support basic printer issues (paper jams, toner replacement)
โ€ข Assist users with common applications, including: Google Workspace Microsoft Office Zoom and Slack
โ€ข Help users with login issues, password resets, and MFA prompts
โ€ข Follow runbooks to resolve common application issues
โ€ข Perform basic conference room checks: Powering on equipment Verifying displays and connections
โ€ข Report and escalate AV issues using documented procedures
โ€ข Assist users with basic connectivity issues: Wi-Fi connection login
โ€ข Perform simple checks (cables, adapters, device settings)
โ€ข Escalate network issues to senior support teams
โ€ข Assist with: Account access requests Device enrollment and setup
โ€ข Follow security procedures for device handling and returns
โ€ข Help manage IT inventory and storage areas
โ€ข Assist with asset tagging and equipment tracking
โ€ข Prepare equipment for new hires, reuse, or return
โ€ข Support equipment vending machines if applicable
โ€ข Follow documented procedures, runbooks, and checklists
โ€ข Accurately log and update tickets in the ITSM system
โ€ข Participate in training, onboarding, and refresher sessions
โ€ข Ask questions and seek guidance when needed
โ€ข Meet assigned ticket volume targets
โ€ข Follow SLAs and escalation timelines
โ€ข Maintain positive customer satisfaction scores
โ€ข Respond promptly to walk-up and chat requests
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 0โ€“1 year of IT support or customer service experience (training provided)
โ€ข Basic familiarity with: Windows or macOS
โ€ข Common productivity tools
โ€ข Strong communication and customer service skills
โ€ข Willingness to learn and follow procedures
โ€ข Reliable onsite presence and punctuality
Preferred:
โ€ข IT coursework, certification, or technical training
