Job description

Position Summary

Our client on Long Island is seeking an experienced NetSuite Project Manager to lead the successful implementation of NetSuite ERP across our growing Food & Beverage Manufacturing organization. This individual will serve as the primary project leader responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all phases of the NetSuite implementation, ensuring alignment between business objectives, operational requirements, and technology solutions.


The ideal candidate combines strong ERP implementation experience with deep knowledge of manufacturing, inventory management, supply chain operations, and financial processes. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, implementation partners, and internal teams to deliver a scalable NetSuite platform that supports the company's continued growth.


Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Governance

  • Lead the end-to-end NetSuite ERP implementation from project initiation through post-go-live stabilization.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies.
  • Establish project governance structures, steering committee meetings, and status reporting processes.
  • Coordinate activities across business units, implementation partners, and third-party vendors.
  • Track project milestones and proactively manage issues, risks, and change requests.

Business Process Transformation

  • Facilitate workshops to document and optimize current and future-state business processes.
  • Ensure NetSuite configuration aligns with operational requirements across:
  • Finance & Accounting
  • Procure-to-Pay
  • Order-to-Cash
  • Inventory Management
  • Production Planning
  • Quality Control
  • Supply Chain & Distribution
  • Demand Planning
  • Drive process standardization and adoption of ERP best practices.

Food & Beverage Manufacturing Focus

  • Partner with operations teams to support manufacturing-specific requirements, including:
  • Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Formulation and recipe management
  • Lot and batch traceability
  • Shelf-life management
  • Quality assurance processes
  • Warehouse and inventory controls
  • Regulatory and compliance reporting
  • Ensure system design supports production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and product traceability.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership, department leaders, and implementation consultants.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate decision-making.
  • Provide regular project updates, executive summaries, and risk assessments.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Data Migration & System Integration

  • Oversee data cleansing, migration planning, validation, and testing activities.
  • Coordinate integrations with key business systems, including:
  • CRM platforms
  • EDI providers
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Manufacturing execution tools
  • Shipping and logistics platforms
  • Business intelligence solutions
  • Ensure data integrity and system performance throughout implementation.

Testing, Training & Change Management

  • Develop and execute testing strategies, including:
  • Unit Testing
  • System Integration Testing (SIT)
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Lead organizational change management initiatives.
  • Coordinate user training programs and development of training materials.
  • Drive user adoption and readiness for go-live.

Go-Live & Post-Implementation Support

  • Manage cutover planning and go-live execution.
  • Coordinate post-go-live support and issue resolution.
  • Monitor system performance and business process effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and future NetSuite enhancements.
