EMERGENCY MEDICINE PHYSICIAN

WJM Professional Services, LLC is a leading healthcare management firm with 20 years of experience providing healthcare personnel and administrative staffing services to government agencies, including the Defense Health Agency, the United States Air Force, Army, Navy, Coast Guard, National Guard, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
We are currently recruiting for an Emergency Medicine Physician
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide emergency care to patients in acute
  • Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted by MTF
  • Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of the clinical privileges or responsibilities.
  • Examine, diagnose, treat, or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.
  • Provide emergency care to patients in acute distress, including stabilizing critically ill or injured patients.
  • Perform advanced life-saving procedures, including intubation, chest tube insertion, and advanced cardiac support (ACLS/ALS) procedures as necessary.
  • Supervise and oversee emergency medical technicians (EMTs, Medics), paramedics, and other support personnel, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
  • Participate in trauma team activations, code blue events, code purple events, and mass casualty situations, providing leadership and clinical expertise.
  • Document all clinical encounters in the medical records in accordance with medical, legal, and hospital policy.
  • Collaborate with other specialists and departments within the facility to provide comprehensive, timely care.
Qualifications:
  • Required licensure, board certification/eligibility, credentials, immunizations, and current certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS/ALS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Must maintain an unrestricted license
  • Shall have a current, valid DEA registration before performing on this contract
  • Required immunizations: Tuberculosis (TB) screening as required by current MTF policy, Hepatitis B vaccination, or documented declination in accordance with OSHA standards, seasonal influenza vaccination, COVID-19 vaccination, or applicable exemption/waiver if required by current DoD or MEDCOM policy, and annual fit testing for the N95 respirator is required
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Degree/Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
  • Minimum 3 years or equivalent emergency medicine practice experience, including trauma experience.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS/ALS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and any additional certifications required for privileging at WACH.
  • Unrestricted, current medical license in California.
