CTR is looking for sharp, ambitious, and enthusiastic Motorcycle Test Riders to join our team! The Motorcycle Test Rider serves as the "eyes and ears" on the road for the engineering team, providing subjective feedback and objective data. The Motorcycle Test Rider navigates through various real-world riding environments to validate a new generation of future electric bikes. This position is located at the Nissan testing facility in Stanfield, AZ.

Motorcycle Riders Job Summary

  • She/he will safely perform mileage accumulation while performing safety sensitive functions such as road testing experimental motorcycles and motorcycle components.
  • Perform various durability and, accelerated life and regulatory tests including General Durability, Accelerated Durability, EPA Mileage Accumulation and Transmission Tests.
  • Make observations of vehicle performance, ride, quality, and component failures.
  • Records observations in logs or electronic data systems as requested.
  • Motorcycle Rider's work under the general direction of the Supervisor and may receive direction from a Lead Rider.

Motorcycle Rider Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED certificates
  • A valid driving license with motorcycle endorsement
  • Motorcycle riding experience
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
  • The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced challenging environment

Safety

  • Must be able to safely maneuver and operate heavyweight motorcycles.
  • Must be able to lift motorcycle weight from parked position to upright riding position.
  • Coordination of normal mental dexterity and visual attention. Must have good vision, hearing and motor skills.
  • Requires mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time in conditions that could include temperature extremes and wet conditions.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
  • Must demonstrate good team skills, and the ability to work with and learn from others.
  • Must be willing to travel off site. Overnight travel may be deemed necessary.
  • Safety Sensitive position requiring all persons assigned to activity be drug free.
  • Document near misses, make suggestions for reduction of risk exposure and communicate all damage to vehicle including scrapes, dings etc. Participate in and support corrective action plans as requested.
