Job description

Advanced Technical Services Role

Provides advanced, comprehensive technical services for the instructional and administrative programs of the school division. This role is crucial for implementing, and maintaining a modern, secure, and highly available technology infrastructure, including on-premise and cloud environments, local and wide area networks (both wired and wireless), servers, network security, and enterprise systems, ensuring reliable and secure operation for all staff, and students.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Possession of current, industry-recognized professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, Microsoft Azure Administrator) is highly desirable.
  • Significant, demonstrated progressive experience (e.g., 5-7 years) in implementing, and managing enterprise-level network and server infrastructure and project management, preferably K-12 or public sector.
  • Experience with network technologies, including Cisco routing/switching, firewalls, network segmentation, and advanced wireless technologies.
  • Proven expertise in server administration, including Microsoft Windows Server OS, Active Directory/Entra ID, virtualization (e.g., VMware ESXi), storage systems (SAN, NAS, DAS), backup/DR solutions, and chromebook management
  • Experience administering and securing cloud services, specifically Google Workspace for Education and/or Microsoft Azure/M365 environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain network security tools, data backup systems, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Proficiency in scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
  • Experience in a K-12 school setting and understanding of unique technology needs and challenges to ensure operational readiness (school opening/closing, state testing, seasonal projects)
Certificates/Licenses, Registrations
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Industry-relevant professional certifications preferred: CCNA/CCNP, Network+, Security+, CEH, CISSP, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, Google Cloud, Google Admin Certified Administrator, or VMware VCP.

Salary range for the 2026-2027 school year is $82,400 - $126,894 depending upon qualifications and experience.

Full time / 12 month position
