Job description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with strong full-stack development and Azure cloud expertise to design, develop, and support modern enterprise applications in a secure government environment. This role will focus on building scalable, cloud-based solutions, modernizing legacy applications, and collaborating with technical and business teams to deliver innovative systems that meet mission objectives.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across front-end and back-end technologies, Azure services, CI/CD pipelines, and secure software engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack applications using technologies such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, Angular, React, Node.js, and Python.
  • Architect scalable and secure solutions while modernizing legacy systems for Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and maintain software development standards and best practices.
  • Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
  • Utilize version control systems including Git and TFS for source code management.
  • Design and integrate APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures to support enterprise application needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across front-end, back-end, and database environments.
  • Work with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL databases to support application performance and reliability.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, frameworks, Azure capabilities, and development methodologies.
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
  • Strong experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure DevOps, AI/ML technologies, and AI Search capabilities.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerization, and serverless architecture.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and cross-domain cloud traffic environments.
  • Strong understanding of application security, performance optimization, accessibility, and best practices.
  • Experience integrating cloud-native services and enterprise systems.
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Microsoft Azure Certification (AZ-900 or higher) required
  • IAT Level I certification or ability to obtain
  • 5+ years of full-stack development experience, preferably in Azure cloud environments
  • Demonstrated experience with both front-end and back-end development technologies
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in cross-functional environments
