Description


This is a seasonal position. The position is expected to end on October 31, 2026, but the exact end date may vary depending on company performance and business needs during the season. While the position is seasonal, we may adjust the duration of your employment based on factors like demand, project completion, or business outcomes. We will notify you in advance of any changes to the end date.


The rebar department plays an essential role to the overall success of CCS. Rebar fabrication includes a variety of responsibilities from semi-truck onload and offload, accurately fulfilling fabrication tickets, cutting, bending and safely loading customer orders. A rebar fabricator fabricates rebar by cutting, bending, tying, and performing other processes to meet project materials specifications. They also follow and reinforce established operation safety procedures and guidelines and maintain clean workspaces.

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities

Use drawings or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements

Fabricate rebar as determined by work specifications including shearing and bendingย 

Examine fabricated rebar visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards

Operate machines with effective organization and tag rebar/rebar bundles

Demonstrate basic math skills to include fractions necessary for making calculations required in fabrication

Maintain stock bar levels for maximal efficient fabrication

Load and unload semi-truck deliveries as instructed

Adhere to company safety standards and core values and maintain and promote a clean and safe work environment

Assist with any other duties as assigned or needed

Experience and Education

High school diploma or GED required. Experience with forklift and rebar fabrication is preferred. Must have the ability to read and understand a tape measure.

Skills, Licensing, and Certifications

Must be able to lift and carry heavy rebar (up to 50+ lbs) and handle physically demanding tasks for extended periods

Ability to manipulate and handle tools and rebar with precision to cut, bend, and assemble pieces

Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for long periods. Must be able to work in various postures and positions

Good vision to read blueprints, measurements, and inspect rebar for defects

Ability to hear machine operations, warnings, and communicate effectively in noisy environments

Effective organizational skills and attention to detail

Timeliness and time management skills

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Forklift certification a plus

Valid driver's license may be required
