Job description

Title - Data center Technician
Location - Boardman OR (Onsite)
PR - $25 to $30/hr on w2
Duration - 6+ months of contract
Work schedule:
• Schedule flexibility required, including potential night shift positions
• Shift options include Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM or 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
• Contingent workers are expected to work holidays if scheduled (regular pay, not holiday pay)
• First two weeks: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM (Training)
As a Data Center Technician, you serve as one of many primary resolvers for your support team, skilled at troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware infrastructure issues. You support and share knowledge of these technologies with team members. You possess basic to intermediate system administration skills and work autonomously to resolve server issues. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. You know how to take direction when given, paying attention to all details involved. You work well with a team. You are receptive to feedback and able to adjust performance and behavior as required for the position.
Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic networking knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP (1+ years)
• Familiarity with hardware components inside a server/computer (1+ years)
• bility to perform hardware replacements and repairs
• Basic Linux/Unix command line knowledge
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Receptive to feedback and able to adjust performance and behavior as required
Degree or Certification:
• High school or equivalent diploma
• (Optional) CompTIA, CompTIA+
Technical Skills:
• bility to perform hardware replacements and repairs
• Understanding of cooling systems and power distribution
• Basic Linux/Unix command line knowledge
• Experience with ticketing systems and documentation
• bility to perform basic network troubleshooting
Physical Environment and Safety Protocols:
• Must successfully pass through metal detection equipment daily
• Required to work in data center environments with variable temperature conditions
• Temperature fluctuations dependent on seasonal changes and external weather conditions
• Work areas may contain environmental allergens and airborne particles including dust
Physical Requirements:
• Must successfully pass through metal detection equipment daily
