Job description

Overview CIAT prepares students for professional success by offering practical training in today's most competitive technology fields. We provide a large selection of courses, flexible schedules, and an online campus to empower the working student. This role is ideal for educators passionate about mentoring and student success.

Teaching Responsibilities Available to teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams on Monday and Tuesday every week. Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement. Modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs.

Employ appropriate teaching strategies to communicate subject matter. Maintain current certifications in subjects taught. Mastery of Subject Matter Demonstrate thorough and accurate knowledge of the field.

Connect subject matter with related fields. Stay current through professional development, professional organizations, and conferences. Adherence to College Policies and Procedures Keep the Student Database fully updated with attendance and grade records.

Maintain accreditation compliance and instructional quality standards. Submit required documentation such as sign-in attendance, pre‐post exams, lab sheets, and other accreditation documents. Communicate needs for textbooks, handouts, supplies, equipment, vouchers to management in advance.

Participate in new projects and ideas. Follow CIAT business casual attire policy. Requirements Official transcripts of a bachelor's degree or higher and certification in the subject.

CompTIA Linux+ certification required. At least three years of experience in the field or two years of teaching experience. Synchronous online teaching experience preferred.

Advanced subject matter expertise with ongoing professional development. Effective presentation, communication, and technology skills. Proficiency in MS Office and learning technologies such as Canvas.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, multitask, and solve problems efficiently. Ability to collaborate with colleagues and support student success. Commitment to inclusive learning environments and respect for diversity.

Knowledge of current trends, best practices, and didactic approaches in higher education. Strong verbal and written communication skills. High ethical standards and professionalism.

Compliance with all college policies, including academic integrity and instructional delivery. Ability to embody CIAT's mission, vision, and values. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work Full-time equivalent part-time (Variable-Hour).

Classes are scheduled twice per week, Monday and Tuesday, 6:00 pm–9:30 pm Pacific Time. Additional weekend or evening hours may be required. Supervisory Responsibility No supervisory responsibilities.
