Seasonal Lifeguard

Elks Aidmore - Conyers, GA

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the safety of patrons at the Elks Aidmore pool. Work involves monitoring the pool for the safety of patrons and the provision of information pertaining to water quality, temperature, and other related items. Approximately 25 hours a week from May to August. The employee must be excellent swimmers and must have mastered appropriate lifeguarding techniques including swimming, lifting and running.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must be a minimum of 16 years of age or older. Candidates must have valid and current Lifeguard Certification by date of hire. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in swimming abilities and the ability to handle rescue activities while in the water. The nature of the job demands that the employee be able to identify problems either visually or by auditory means in order to be alert to life-saving needs.

Must possess current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, including CPR and First Aid certification.

NOTE: All required certifications must be kept current and valid while employed in this classification.
