ROLE OVERVIEW:
This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year-round.
This position is for the Bison Generation Plant North of Epping ND.
This role supports daily plant operations by performing routine maintenance, housekeeping, and general labor tasks while ensuring equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)
  1. Perform daily plant maintenance to support safe and efficient operations.
  2. Maintain cleanliness of the plant and yard through regular housekeeping tasks.
  3. Complete general labor duties, including raking, shoveling, and material handling.
  4. Safely perform basic equipment maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
  5. Communicate promptly with the plant supervisor regarding plant, yard, or equipment issues.
  6. Ensure DOT, MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  7. Complete all required safety documents and project reporting.
  8. Blowing cement-Fly Ash from Pig to Plant
  9. Perform Quality Control Plant Air and Slump Tests
  10. Always work safely and take action to prevent all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (types and extent of knowledge, skills or abilities an incumbent must possess to complete the job responsibilities satisfactorily)
  1. Maintain good attendance and safety record and set an example for others to follow.
  2. Communicate effectively to co-workers, management, suppliers, and others you encounter.
  3. Experience around ready-mix plants, loader, welding skills is a plus.
  4. Basic knowledge of plant operation, conveyor systems, and maintenance preferred.
  5. Must have good mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  6. Able to operate small hand tools.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)
  1. Must have a "Safety First" attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required.
  2. Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record. Class A or B preferred.
  3. Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.
