Job Overview

A family in New York needs to hire a highly experienced Director of Household Operations/Estate Manager. This individual will build the operating structure and keep the household running at a high level without constant principal involvement.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the master operating calendar for recurring family and household responsibilities across annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily rhythms.
  • Ensure maintenance, renewals, child and school logistics, appointments, supplies, travel readiness, seasonal preparation, and administrative deadlines.
  • Create and maintain a practical house manual covering standards, onboarding, handover, guest readiness, communication norms, emergency basics, and core role-specific procedures.
  • Supervise all household team members (chef, housekeepers, nannies) and manage vendors.
Qualifications

All candidates must have prior experience as an Estate Manager in a UHNW family and be able to take full ownership of the property and management of staff.

Compensation & Start Date

Salary range: $170-$200k + benefits. Late May, early June start.
