Purpose:
The Store Associate role is responsible for the overall in-store customer experience. This position will take customer orders via phone, through walk-ins, and online to ensure orders are properly accounted for.
The Store Associate also rolls up their sleeves to create Edible products such as fruit bouquets, dipped fruit boxes, platters, and dessert boards and more!
This position works closely with customers, other store associates, and the store manager to ensure that customers have exceptional Edible Arrangements experience.
Seasonal Details:
  • Purpose for seasonal staffing: Mother's Day is our biggest sales event of the year!
Responsibilities:
  • Greet and connect with every customer, identifying customer needs and appropriately suggesting products to enhance the customer experience
  • Accept and process customer orders via phone, through walk-ins, and via the online platform
  • Prepare and package a variety of products and arrangements, following approved procedures and proper portion sizes
  • Follow proper food sanitation and handling procedures
  • Responsible for cleaning tasks in accordance with the store cleaning standards; including but not limited to taking out the trash and cleaning work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes
  • Work as a store team player to ensure all store tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Responsible for other store tasks as assigned by store leaders
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Computer skills including Microsoft software and point of sale skills
  • Ability to learn the quality, cleanliness, and inspection standards for a working food space
  • Skilled customer service techniques and in building long-term relationships and building the trust and loyalty of customers
  • Skilled in managing difficult customer situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Ability to take responsibility to learn all aspects of the position
  • Ability to show up to work timely and work assigned shifts in a reliable manner
  • Ability to take direction and apply constructive feedback from supervisor and/or manager
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude when faced with challenges and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to conduct frequent lifting, carrying and/or pushing objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and scooping throughout assigned shifts.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, up to 85% of the work shift.
