Description POSITION SUMMARY This position ensures the safety of patrons by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors; prevents drowning and other accidents; responds to first aid incidents; represents the department and the Town in a responsible, courteous manner. Examples of Duties IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL: Actively guard and scan the pool area at all times; exhibit all standards of American Red Cross Lifeguard. Communicate unsafe practices and safety hazards to swimmers.

Maintain order and safety in the pool, splash pad, and adjoining areas. Perform guarding duties and administer first aid. Be proficient and knowledgeable of swimming practices.

Perform a variety of miscellaneous duties such as helping set up and tear down for activities, events, etc. Report all accidents to the appropriate authority. Follow all policies for reporting.

Maintain daily cleanliness of facility, including all Health Codes and standards are met. Typical Qualification REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification. Candidates may be required to pass a background check and must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Must be at least 16 years of age. This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random drug screening. Additional position information can be found HERE **Interviews will be scheduled once applications have been accepted.

** Supplemental Information COMPENSATION: This is a seasonal position that runs through November 2026. Hourly pay range is $16.07 to $16.87. Seasonal employees are entitled to earn paid time off and accrue a minimum of 1 hour of general leave for every 30 hours worked
