The Ohio Department of Transportation, District Eleven is now accepting applications for Seasonal Highway Technicians for the following counties: Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson and Tuscarawas For more information, contact Dianna Gardiner at 330-987-1374 What You Will Do: Hands-on maintenance of traffic and flagging Highway maintenance and repair work activities (e.g., pothole patching, spread berm, repair guardrails, crack seal, litter pick-up, drainage, vegetation management such as weed eating, brush cutting, and mowing) Operation of heavy equipment (e.g., dump truck, loader) and hand tools (e.g., chainsaw) Perform snow & ice operations

Qualifications: Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of basic equipment.
