Job description

Seasonal Hotel Houseperson

Housekeeping is one of the most important departments in the hotel, as keeping a high standard of overall cleanliness throughout the property is of utmost importance. The department ensures that luxury invites our guests to relax and stay awhile, providing our team with the opportunity to provide impeccable service. This position is dependent on both teamwork and individual efforts, as you will be supporting the hotel, laundry, and public area services. The houseperson will ensure all areas of hotel guest rooms are clean and maintained according to the standards set by the hotel, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience.

The duties of a Seasonal Hotel Houseperson will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for supplying and furnishing housekeeper's closet linens and amenities for guest rooms
  • Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping closets
  • Responsible for pickup of dirty linen from housekeeping carts
  • Responsible for furnishing clean linen throughout day
  • Maintain cleanliness of hallways of hotel and stairwells (Vacuum/carpet exaction).
  • Maintain clean golf carts
  • Maintain cleanliness of all hallways and elevators
  • Support Laundry operations by keeping an updated inventory of linens, beddings, & towels, washing & drying clothing and other textile items, and operating all washers & dryers.
  • Support Public Areas by cleaning and maintaining restrooms, showers, glass surfaces, floor surfaces in public and employee areas.
  • Emptying trash containers in public and employee spaces.
  • Support room attendants by cleaning and stripping guest rooms
  • Perform Guest Requests throughout day
  • Ensure work area is clean when finished
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable about the hotel
  • Always maintain a neat and clean professional appearance
  • Enforce hotel safety standards.
  • Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Manager.
