Job description

Content Creator & Lube Technician

Location: Littleton, CO

Position Type: Full or Part time

The Role

Are you as handy with a smartphone as you are with a 14mm wrench? Grease Monkey is looking for a rare breed: a Content Creator/Lube Technician. We need someone who can perform high-quality automotive maintenance while capturing the "soul" of the shop.

You’ll divide your time under the hood capturing, editing, and posting content that shows our customers why we are the most trusted shop in town.

Must be able to work in the shop.

Key Responsibilities In the Bay
  • Perform high-standard oil changes, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and preventive maintenance.

  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace (which also happens to be your "set").

  • Communicate mechanical issues clearly to service advisors.

Behind the Lens
  • Capture: Film "behind-the-scenes" footage, satisfying maintenance clips (ASMR), and "educational" moments (e.g., explaining why a cabin filter needs replacing).

  • Edit: Produce 3–5 high-energy Reels/TikToks per week using trending audio and clear storytelling.

  • Engage: Manage our daily Stories (5+ per day) and respond to comments/DMs to build community trust.

  • Strategy: Work with management to highlight specific promotions or seasonal services (e.g., A/C checks in summer).

What We’re Looking For
  • The "Eye": You understand lighting, framing, and what makes a video "scroll-stopping."

  • Mechanical Aptitude: You have previous experience in automotive maintenance. You don't need to be a Master Tech, but you must be competent and safe.

  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in mobile editing apps (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, or native IG/TikTok editors).

  • Personality: You’re comfortable being on camera or narrating "how-to" videos with a professional yet approachable tone.

Weekly Content Goals
  • 3–5 Short-form Videos: High-quality Reels/TikToks/Shorts.

  • Daily Stories: Keeping our "heartbeat" alive with shop updates.

  • 5 Static Posts: High-res photos of unique cars, team spotlights, or "Before & After" shots.

Perks & Benefits
  • Competitive hourly wage + performance bonuses based on social growth/engagement.

  • Professional tools provided (for both the bay and the "studio").

  • Employee discounts on parts and service.

  • Benefits: Health, Dental, Life ins, 401k, etc.
